The underground economy is destroying the world. I never thought of something as small as a cheap LV handbag or some fake Gucci glasses could be a small art of such a big corruption machine but it is. I myself have never purchased anything knock off because everything that seems to be knock off doesn’t interest me but I have obtained other items such as intellectual property but I have never done this with an intent to hurt anyone, but I know it does. I have never really thought about how something so simple is so detrimental and basically stealing. Taking intellectual property is just like walking into an artist studio and pulling the painting right off the canvas and claiming it yours. I know that I will be creating a lot more digital content and as a matter of fact I know I have had some of my creating stolen or basically copied to be used my someone without any skill but It never bugged me before but now that I am getting more professional I know that my services and time are going to be what I use to feed my family and I just cant lose valuable intellectual property like I have before. I recently has a free lance job where I created tons of content for some people and I never thought about copy rights and protecting my creative property but I should have because they are gone and who knows where all the my art will end up or who will be the next person to bastardize my creations and claim it’s their original idea. It’s a good thing I never gave them anything good, but still weak. About the illicit market out there like the guy in the movie said “it’s like the wild west out there” and it’s true anything seems to be out there and it seems to be getting anywhere the people want it to be. The boats transporting fake prescription drugs and easily transport some weapons. A bigger threat I foresee is when will we know what we buy is real or what is fake? What if this epidemic of saving money for fake crap hits America harder? Like when I go to a auto shop to get my brakes done so I can drive my kids safely around town and that mechanic puts crap fkae brakes made of apple cores and sandpaper in there just to save a buck but puts me and family and everyone else on the road at risk, what about pharmacies and clinics here in the states buying cheap medicine that turns out to be poison and it kills innocent people? It’s scary.

No one likes Spam...do they?

Why is spam so dangerous? Spam is a nuisance most of all and an abuse of the electronic privilege and usually is fraudulent and deceitful. Spam poses a great threat to internet and email users because it floods mail boxes with unwanted junk. Some spam can even contain viruses or links to pages containing viruses or malicious software known as Malware that can infect and corrupt your PC. This Malicious software can also obtain personal information such as credit card information, credit card numbers, and your current internet activity that then sends this information to unwanted sources. Spam can pose itself as just another email from a friend or a company you do business with that is offering you a great deal and then lead you into something totally different. Spam also poses a great threat to younger internet users such as teens and young adults. Spam can offer up a link to maybe something they would be innocently interested in and when a link is clicked the user ends up at an adult site or something they would not normally have been able to access of would want to access. The internet is big place full of a lot of evil people looking to take advantage of new users and the general mass of stupid web surfers who are like big eyed sheep. There are always people looking to make a quick buck off the stupid uneducated out there and spam offers them an excellent place to do so. Spam is just one of the new electronic evils present to us in the new millennium and there are sure to be more to come, but with education we can control and end the abuse of the internet.

Greed es bueno? Que?

GREED IS GOOD? I do not agree with this at all. It has been common knowledge since the beginning of time that greed is not good and greed in essence is evil, take Judas for an example. As Americans I think we are probably the most greed ridden people on the face of the earth. Look at our economy, look at how our money is spent and look what it has done to this earth and its entire people. For example let’s look at meat industry. The meat industry buys up and destroys rain forests to make more room to raise more cattle, and the reason they have to raise so much cattle is because around 60% of all the meat they harvest 40% or more is never sold or is not consumable, yet every year the industry expands and destroys for the all mighty dollar. In the United States alone we have countless industries that prey upon us and we accept it and give to them. Right here in Nevada we had a huge housing boom and houses flew off the shelves like hot cakes, also the same term my father used when I asked him “why do all these other countries have nukes when we basically invented them?” he told me “we sold them like hotcakes”, ok well the housing craze was insane houses were cheap then BAM houses were expensive people who couldn’t even afford to pay rent got houses, and some people bought them as investment properties. People from California were buying houses to rent out here or turn and sell and it was insane. Well we all know what happened and the bottom fell out and slam house prices went higher than ever for insanely small lots and people still bought them. A big source of greed was in the mortgage and loan business. People started getting their loan officer licenses and then using shady practices got banks to approve terrible loans because the borrowing laws were bullshit. But thanks to them we now have better laws I hope will keep people from being so greedy. Right now I‘m actually renting a house that was supposed to be an investment flip but I guess people got smart and decided that the house wasn’t worth the 450,000 the owner wanted and now he can’t sell it and it sat empty for a long time and no one has ever lived in it until we rented it. It’s a really nice house.
If I had to choose a WHACK-A-SOMETHING I would make a Frank Pinto doll. I think he deserves it because of what he said about Used Cars. After the class I went to hang out with my brother and I told him we watched s piece of it in class and he agreed with me that it was a classic and amazing. Then I told him Frank Pinto called it a “Piece of Trash”. I think that deserves a whack. I guess not really but I know he loves the attention. I don’t know what it would look like though.

Midterm: what my classmates thought about the law...

While I read through what my fellow classmates had to say about the way the felt about our wonderful government I took the time to read an observe this quote “I think that all drugs should be made legal and it should be a matter of personal responsibility, not a matter of law. If a person decides to be addicted to drugs, and is able to buy those drugs on the open market like alcohol, tobacco, or pharmaceuticals, it would reduce the huge number of subsequent drug related crimes. I think it's an issue of personal responsibility and not something the law should have any bearing over, besides making rules and regulations like they do for alcohol or pharmaceuticals. And luckily there are already agencies in place to do so”- Jonathan Boyer. While I don’t fully agree with this statement I do find it to be a just statement. Its true our government tells us what we can destroy ourselves with and how much and it seems like there is a serious double standard with what is legal and what is not, such as alcohol and tobacco products. On the other side I have to disagree because let’s face it people are stupid. This also runs into an argument that I have with others about the lack of education, but I won’t get into that. It’s true a lot of Americans are dumb sheep who love being told what to do how and how to do it. They need to be told how to do things constantly and with force because they are sheep. That’s why we have speed limits, and traffic lights and retaining walls on the free way, a lot of people are stupid and need to be guided so allowing these people to have full access to buy hardcore drugs is a horrible idea. I then took the time and read Dianne’s blog entry it was short but I did agree with her on this that also makes me mad “I understand that we have to have laws for everything but it seems that every law has an exception to everything so if you have a good attorney those exceptions will come in handy” -Dianne Polo. I hate that there are criminals that slip through the cracks of the justice system and get free just because of the loop hole or some minor detail. Just like that O.J murder trial from the 90’s, we all knew he was guilty but yet because of some minor discrepancy he walked free. I found this wuote next that stated something I believe in very strongly. “The legal Officials need more training on how to carry out the law. There are always complaints. Whilst you cannot please everyone, there still should be some form of strict recourse to the ones who corrupt the system and place a bad reputation on the system as a whole.” -Stacia Woody. It seems way too often you hear about some government official or some judge doing something above the law and just getting the smallest of punishments. Of politicians committing horrendous crime and getting the tisk tisk finger wagged at them. That is some bullshit. If you are a law maker or enforcer and you feel so above the law that you can break it and you get caught, you should be punished to the full extent of the law. They are making our country and our justice system look bad and we can’t have that anymore. No one is above the law. I believe that the system is getting to where it needs to be, we are a young country with a new system and it takes time to work it out. But it seems like some of these corrupt law makers are setting us all back and hurting the system.

the world would be a better place without Myspace

An 8th grade girl was fooled into believing she was chatting with the boy of her dreams probably daily or constantly if she had any kind of decent smartphone. Then this boy breaks it off and breaks her heart by telling her that the world would be better off without her, what a dick move by the way, no real boy would say some shit like that. Then when it all comes down it was just some fat bored housebeast with nothing better to do then mess with a little girl’s computer and mind. Well the judge chose to dismiss the case against the house beast and only charge her with a few counts of misdemeanor accessing a private computer. This is all very sad. But now the house beast is forever going to be known as a malicious internet predator who makes false fronts in order to take advantage of feeble children on the web, making it harder to be pre-teen. I can’t say that I can really compare this to the movie right now for some reason. I think that in the film we watched they reporters who are so hungry to print something big that they just took anything and dressed it up to sounds really legit and people got hurt. Oh wait people got hurt on both ends of this. The little girl got her mind fucked and so did Paul Newmans character. I guess the later on in the movie you said that the lady kills herself because of what she reads too huh weird. So the judge basically threw out the housebeasts case because she didn’t mean to harm girl, the teenage girl just turned out to be unstable. Absence of malice I guess that is what that means. The housebeast knew exactly what she was doing, she at one time had to be a little housebeat girl who had feeling and went through puberty. Maybe not. I do have this idea that there is a secret society of people strategically placed around suburban areas who are solely there to drive the people around them to do crazy things. And I think we found one. If some fat beast down the street from me “Cyberbullied” my daughter into killing herself she would be dead. I don’t know how that little girls mom get all done up to cry on camera I would be in prison for the rest of my life if anyone hurt or killed one of my kids. That is bullshit. I would put so many hollow point bullets in the fat housebeats face so fast. Damn

and then he said "that ain't my dog..thats my lawyer!"

Lawyers, what do I think about lawyers? Well I would say that they are silver tongued sharks in suits who chase ambulances for money and lie to keep murderers out of jail, but I can’t. I haven’t had any real direct contact with attorneys or lawyers yet. I do think I have been sued by one for collections I didn’t pay but I took care of those. I have had a chance to recently learn about lawyers and how their world is because one of my best friends is attending law school at UNLV. He just started there and is wrapping up his first year. He is currently in Reno, interning with a judge to get some experience and make some connections or something I don’t know I think he just wants to wear suits and look sharp. Well anyways from the time he started going to school he had had to read constantly and study nonstop because I guess the law is a tricky thing. He has been telling me about how it works in most offices and that there are memos after memos to be made and passed around before the lawyer even sees it by office interns and paralegals I think he called them. He even told me that the big hitter also known as glen learner hired the top law student from UNLV last year. Many people in Las Vegas consider him to be kind of a joke but I guess he is the real deal. I also know that there are a million different types of lawyers, like criminal, defense, environmental, property etc. the list goes on. Actually the lawyer Dr.Gonzo who traveled around with Hunter S. Thompson was a lawyer who was trying to protect the hippies in California from being unjustly harassed and accused, well before he went crazy and started some kind of American liberation army. This may not be all true but it’s what I got from reading those books.
